<p>A "universal" switch is operated by a single lever type control. In daytime use the main headlamp beam is operated in unison with the flasher lamp. At night time the dipped headlamp filament is operated in unison with the flasher lamps. Suitable mechnical locking prevents accidental switching on of the main beam when not required at night. The end of the lever contains the horn button. The lever has four main angular positions - parking lights, dipped and main beam and direction indicators. The lever itself also rotates a quarter of a turn to give "day" and "night" positions for the flasher lamps.</p> |
