The structural member (A) is made up of four parallel angle sections (a1) (a2) (a3) and (a4), spaced at the corners of a rectangle and fixed together by oblique bracing members (b1). The ends of the member are covered by an end fitting (d) with an extension which fits the inner faces of the corner angle sections. The end fitting (d) is provided with tapped holes for fixing bolts (e). Clips (f), provided with holes, are fitted where required in the longitudinal slot formed between the inner ends of the angle sections (a1) and (a2) or (a3) and (a4). The structural members can be joined to each other or used to support other constructional elements such as partitions, ceilings etc.
