<p>Two component thermosetting coating compsn. consists essentially of org. solns. of (I) a 1,2-epoxy cpd. and (II) an imidazoline or tetrahydropyrimidine of formula (where n is 2 or 3; m is 1 or 2; R1,R2 and R3 are each H, alkyl, aryl aralkyl, cycloalkyl, halogen, ether, thioether, nitro, keto, ester carbonamido, heterocyclyl or N(R)2; and R is alkyl, alkenyl, or opt. substd. heterocyclyl, aralkyl, or aryl; and where m is 1, R may also be H) as curing agent. Cure to non-yellowing high gloss coatings with excellent mechanical props.</p> |
