Hydrostatic tractor vehicle transmission - with torque limiter to protect transmission from excessive power take-off point torque

The tractor engine drives a mian hydrostatic pump for the hydrostatic motors as well as several PTO points. In order to protect the transmission from excessive power when the PTO points are open, simple pressure regulators ar fitted between the primary-and secondary lines to the hydrostatic motors to limit the torque. These are spring biassed piston units in the hydraulic lines operating valve levers directly. The units may be linked to limit the total power available between the points.
