IDENTITY AUTHENTICATION METHOD AND DEVICE

The present application provides an embodiment of an identity authentication method. The method comprises: in response to an initiation of an operation requiring an identity authentication process by a user, prompting the user to input a fingerprint to be identified; when the user inputs data of the fingerprint to be identified, determining a matching priority for each of pre-stored fingerprints in a preset fingerprint database respectively, wherein an order of the matching priority represents a priority sequence for use of the pre-stored fingerprints of the user; and comparing the fingerprint to be identified with each of the pre-stored fingerprints sequentially in the order of each of the matching priorities to obtain a result of the identity authentication. In contrast to the prior art, the present embodiment takes the use condition of the fingerprints of the user into account by determining a comparison sequence of the pre-stored fingerprints according to the determined matching priorities, thereby increasing the probability to obtain an identity authentication result by fewer times of matching, thus improving identity authentication efficiency and user experience. The present application further provides an embodiment of an identity authentication device to implement the application and realization of the above described method.
