Load supporting pressure-loaded hose - underside of load shaped to retain ring shaped hose

A hydrostatic cushion for load movement on flat surfaces, is formed by one or several pressure troughs opening downwards and connected to a pressure medium source. The load edge is outwardly sealed, using a highly flexible material as a sealing material. This edging takes the form of a hose-type body, the inside of which is under pressure. Both pressure trough and hose-body inner space are pressure-fed from a common source. The hose inner space has outlet connections through which the pressure medium can be fed. These connections in turn are fitted with pressure reduction valves so that a higher pressure can be produced in the hose-body than in the pressure trough.
