<p>The reel consists of a cylindrical core with two circular concentric end plates. The inside distance between the end plate equals the film width. Circular recesses on the inside of the end plates form flanges to locate the axially split cage cylinder with enough freedom for the reel to rotate. Two strips of self adhesive tape, attached to the reel core protrude through the cage slot. Prior to winding in the film, one of its ends is trapped between these tapes. For manual or mechanical rotation of the reel appropriate holding provision is made. Easy loading and dispensing of films together with safe storage are the principal advantages of this container.</p> |
