An ozone generator comprises a cell operating by electrical discharge in an oxygen-contg. gas propelled through the discharge chamber. The cell is constructed from two concentric tubular electrodes separated by a concentric dielectric tube. The cell is mounted in a liquid-filled vessel, the gap between the two concentric tubes bounding the discharge chamber being to a tolerance plus or minus 0.43mm. Feed devices conduct two separate cooling liquids through the surrounding vessel and through the internal tube respectively. One liq. being a non-conducting, e.g. silicone oil.
