The safety window is designed to fit as a complete unit in a cutout in a wall. It comprises a bullet-proof central pane and two bullet-proof side walls which are located in front of and parallel to the end regions of the central plane. The side walls and central pane are separated by spacers and the side walls are supported by their lower edges on channel-like rails. The central pane has a cutout on its lower edge and slits to receive a transfer unit.
