Handle attachment to cooking vessels - socket with spring clip fitting over welded hollow anchor pin

The hollow anchor pin is cut axially to form three tongues at one end. The ends of the tongues are bent out at right angles and welded to the outside of the vessel which is then subjected to such finishing processes as enamelling. The handle has a socket of such diameter that it compresses the axially cut anchor pin. A rotationally symmetrical spring clip is embedded in the handle around the socket to engage the pin. The design eliminates unhygienic access openings or plugs, is robust, economical and simple to assemble.
