<p>The tool has various projections facilitating pad engagement and rotation and is applicable to the type of pad with segmental ends and housing in a cavity which is of a lesser dimension in the circumferential sense and greater in the radial sense: a rotation of the pad, thus, permitting radial withdrawal. Two variations of pad engagement are accomplished: in the first instance the vertical returned edge (24) of the lever head (19) locates in a vertical pad groove whilst a perpendicular flange (25) abuts the lower pad edge and in the second instance a pin (22) engages an upper shoe drilling whilst parallel lower arms (23) again engage the lower pad edge.</p> |
