Pneumatically assisted pincer type clamp - twin levers on common fulcrum have jack cell between lever ends

The pincers esp. for closing scaffolding tube screw clamps, comprises usual pincer arrangement with twin arms each consisting of jaw heads i integral with elongated lever arms on a common fulcrum located behind the jaws, and embodies a pneumatic jack cell located between the free lever ends whereby leverage effort is augmented. The jack is pref. controlled by a three way valve (13) on the compressed gas feed alternating between feeding the jack and venting the gas to the atmosphere, or by a hammer actuated cartridge gas generator in conjunction with pressure release valves etc. The three way valve is actuated by a lever (26) on one of the arms.
