<p>The metal bar spacer, bent at both ends, is for two steel mesh mats parallel to each other and to the plane of the formwork, with accommodating devices of elastic material for the reinforcing rods at its ends. It it the support points fitting on the formwork which are elastically adjustable relative to the bar along its horizontal axis, each point being firmly joined to one of the two elastic tongues which form the accommodating aperture for the reinforcing rods. The two support points are at a greater distance apart before insertion in the formwork than the correct interval between the formwork walls. Damage to boarding is prevented, and reinforcing rods cannot be pressed out after insertion in the formwork.</p> |
