Drum drive for automixers has the torque transmitted to the drum via its floor, with elements to equalise the twist between the drum and the support members for it on the floor. An annular body is held on the floor coaxially with the drum axis, and embraces at a spacing an annular drive member of the drive. The gap is filled with elastic material adhering fast to the mutually facing surfaces and taking up the twist. The drive member embraces at least one part of the drive gearing. High torques can be applied.
