摘要 <p>The laser has a rod-shaped lasing medium in an optical resonator and a parallel tubular energixing light source which are surrounded by a condensing energixing mirror, focussing the light onto the lasing medium. For short, pulsed energising the light source is formed by terminals of a low inductivity high voltage plate capacitor, limiting a spark gap. The capacitor not only feeds the spark gap, but also serves as a baseplate for the entire assembly in an arrangement parallel and adjacent to the spark gap which is preferably arranged in air. The spark gap may be enclosed in a quartz tube, and the energising mirror may be of a hollow cylindrical type with circular or elliptic cross section.</p>
