Fastener for window or door frames - locking screw with conical point and serrated block

This fastener is used for connecting fittings especially on light alloy or plastics profile frames of windows and doors. The connection is made by clamping and using a screw thread. The profile can have longitudinal grooves which form a serration group for locking purposes. These serrations engage with similar serrations in the fitting. The frame profile has parallel ribs. Into the channel between these ribs is fitted a fitting component. The screw is used for clamping this fitting in position. The point of the screw digs into the inner surface of the ribs. The pressure exerted by the screw on the fitting lifts it against the other rib. The upper side of the fitting has a locking piece with longitudinal serrations which engage with similar serrations in the upper rib. The clamping screw passes through the locking piece within a groove of the fitting and this locking piece has a tapped hole for the locking screw.
