A pump (1) feeds a flow divider (6) which supplies fluid to motors (2), (3) which exhaust to the reservoir. The lines to the motors are connected by a three way valve (29) connected to an auxiliary pump (26) and connected to pilot pressure operating devices (32), (33). The three way valve connects to a discharge valve (22) which has a feedback circuit and a connection to an outlet (21) of a ball valve (19) which is responsive to the pressures in the two motor supply lines. The discharge valve also connects to the three way valve and the effect is that the pressure in the motor lines varies as a step function.
