PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a black toner for developing electrostatic latent image capable of satisfying image density and hue, and suppressing transfer failure even when exposed to a high-temperature and high-humidity environment for a long period of time.SOLUTION: The present inventors have made extensive investigations to solve the foregoing problems and found that it is most effective to maintain moderate dispersion diameter of a black pigment in toner in order for black toner not to degrade performance in transferability and to be able to keep the hue as black.
