<p>A machine for continuously packaging and producing bales of materials such as textile waste, old newspapers, hemp, flax or expanded polystyrene in a heat sealable plastics material film consists of a conventional high density press for forming a continuous run of compressed material which passes through a tunnel. Shortly before the exit of the tunnel, a film of plastics material unwinds from two rollers and is guided around the periphery of the tunnel and heat sealed. On emerging from the tunnel, the compressed material expands into the plastics film and continuously draws it off the rollers. The continuous run of wrapped material is cut into bales by a cutter.</p> |
