Arrangement consists of a spindle mount from which a rotating axially fixed spindle protrudes. A hub is mounted on this spindle which has six longitudinal grooves of semi-circular section. A sleeve mounted over the hub has six internal grooves in line with those on the hub. Balls are mounted between sleeve and hub in three of the grooves, while spiral springs are mounted in the three remaining grooves. Balls and springs which alternate are restrained so that the outer sleeve has a small amount of axial movement. A wheel clamping plate is mounted on the sleeve at the side nearest the spindle mount. An anchor ring is attached to this clamping plate which consists of sections of magnetic and non-magnetic material.
