PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain an increase in waste ink, while eliminating a rise of ink density in a supply tube.SOLUTION: An inkjet recorder comprises a recording head for discharging ink, a tank for storing the ink, a supply tube for supplying the ink to the recording head from the tank, discharge means for executing discharge operation for discharging the ink in the supply tube and control means for making the discharge means execute the discharge operation when a lapsed time from the discharge operation of the last time becomes a predetermined time or more, and comprises change means for changing at least any one of the lapsed time and the predetermined time based on an ink consumption quantity consumed from the recording head on and after the discharge operation of the last time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
