PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a liquid discharge head which can control a height of a flow channel.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a liquid discharge head having a substrate 1 having an energy generating element 2 for liquid charge and a liquid feeding passage 13, and a member 16 having a discharge port 12 communicating with the feeding passage 13 through a flow channel 7 includes a step of forming a first photosensitive resin layer 5 on the substrate 1; a step of forming a pattern 7a of the flow channel on the first photosensitive resin layer 5; a step of forming a second photosensitive resin layer 9 on the first photosensitive resin layer 5; a step of curing a portion facing at least an opening of the feeding passage 13 in the second photosensitive resin layer 9; a step of forming a layer 11 containing a solvent on the second photosensitive resin layer 9 in which the facing portion has been cured; a step of forming a pattern 12a of the discharge port on the second photosensitive resin layer 9 and the layer 11 containing the solvent; and a step of removing the patterns 7a and 12a of the flow channel and the discharge port, and forming the flow channel 7 and the discharge port 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
