The composition contains silicates which are able to bind the hardness formers in the water and have the formula (cat2/nO)xMe2O3.(SiO2)y in which cat is a cation which can exchange with calcium and has n charges, x is a number from 0.7 to 1.5, Me is boron or aluminium, y is a number from 0.8 to 6, and which have a calcium-binding capacity of at least 50 mg of CaO/g of anhydrous silicate. These silicates may contain bound water. The composition furthermore contains a surfactant component comprising 1 part by weight of non-ionic and 0-3 parts by weight of anionic surfactants, where the non-ionic surfactants represent a mixture of various highly ethoxylated 8-20 which have an aliphatic hydrocarbon radical with 10-18 C atoms and in which 0.2-2 parts by weight of non-ionic compounds with 2-6 ethylene glycol ether residues are present in the molecule per part by weight of non-ionic compounds with 8-29 ethylene glycol ether residues in the molecule. The aqueous wash liquor contains compositions of this type. The water-insoluble silicates are in finely divided form in this treatment liquor. The washing process brings about - even in the complete absence of phosphorus - a good removal in particular of greasy and oily soiling on textiles. |
