This invention relates to an anchor mount for mounting and operating an anchor from a boat, the mount including means for holding the anchor against excessive movement in a stored position out of the water and swivel means for aligning a portion of the mount with the anchor line when the anchor is lowered for ease in hoisting the anchor to its stored position regardless of the inclination of the line relative to the surface of the water.
