A release device releases the land-wheel from its operating position so that the frame can be turned easily. The wheel pivots on a vertical axis, and is held by removable locking devices when in operation. The hydraulic drive-element is mounted on the wheel which has a number of supports extending in a crosswise direction and are spaced apart from one another. The frame may be a plough frame with plough shares mounted on it to make a number of adjacent furrows. The plough shares can be adjusted in height. There are wheels in the front of the frame and a single guide-wheel at the back.
