1486137 Rodenticidal compositions BYK GULDEN LOMBERG CHEMISCHE FABRIK GmbH 17 Feb 1975 [20 Feb 1974] 6533/75 Heading A5E A rodenticidal composition comprises a component 1 which inhibits the clotting of blood of mammals and a component 2 which after a single oral administration in a dose of below 50 mg/kg to a Sprague-Dawley rat with an empty stomach, produces haemorrhagic gut lesions. Component 1 may be any of a large number of specified derivatives of 1, 3-indandione or coumarin, a 2-azacycloalkyl-methylsubstituted benzhydrylketone or carbinol, or a rare earth metal salt (e.g. of neodymium or cerium). Component 2 may be an arylacetic acid, an α-aryl-α-methylacetic acid, an arylpropionic acid, an heteroarylacetic acid, an α-heteroaryl-α-methylacetic acid, an heteroaryl propionic acid or a salt of any said acid or an acidic enol compound containing a conjugated system. The compositions may be formed into baits containing foodstuffs, decoy substances, dyes and inert adjuvants. |
