There is an adjusting screw that pivots the reflector or headlamp in the normal position and the dipped position. This is operated by hand against the force of an inserted spring. For safety reasons the adjustment cannot be made with the lamp in the dipped position. A cover plate connects the housing or carrying frame to the upper section of the adjuster (17). In the dipped position, the screw is covered by the cover plate. A lever (22) is connected to an arm (29) which acts as the cover for the screw head (16). The end section of the plate has a longitudinal slot (26) through which the holding bolt (28) fits.
