<p>The forging press has a moving forging table which is driven in a guide relative to a fixed forging table. This high power forging machine has small compact actuating cylinders and forging tables. A fixed crosshead (8) is arranged on the fixed forging table (2). The moving forging table (12) has a moving crosshead. The working cylinder unit (24, 26) is arranged between the fixed crosshead and the moving forging table. Another actuating cylinder unit is arranged between the fixed forging table and the moving crosshead. All hydraulic actuating units participate in the actuation of the moving forging table. The fixed crosshead is held by a number of rigid columns (4) on the fixed forging table.</p> |
