The lockable safety isolator switch has an additional device for bridging over a sufficient spacing between the disc switch and the lock. This sufficient distance between the lock and the switch toggle disc is provided by an additional shaft (1) whose front end is provided with a fixed locking disc (2), the shaft being coupled to the switch shaft (6) via a gear wheel pair. Preferably the movement transmission is not carried out via this gear wheel pair or toothed segments, but by other rotary movement transmission elements. The switch may be locked by pushing the front upper corner of the longitudinally shiftable locking insert into a recess of the locking disc.
