Flow control valve for liquids - maintains continuous outlet flow and prevents clogging of valve body

The valve body consists of two co-axial tubes (6) and (7). The outer tube (6) has an inlet (5) and an end cap (3) with an outlet (10) which forms a valve seat. The inner tube (7) has an inlet and houses a valve rod (1) with a valve head (2). The valve head (2) when in its upper position closes the end of the inner tube (7) and when in its lower position it closes the outlet (10). The volume of liquid flowing out of the valve (10) is controlled by the pressure in the actuating cylinder which acts against a spring and so determines the degree of opening of the valve. The excess liquid returns through the inner tube (7) and outlet.
