<p>1424628 Magnetic separators H SPODIG 22 June 1973 [26 June 1972] 29707/73 Heading B2J A magnetic separator comprises a frame 1, 2, 5, 6 carrying sets of magnets 4 associated with rotatable pole pieces in the form of rollers 7, 8 each of which also acts as a guide roller for respective conveyor belts 9, 10 which are driven by further rollers 12 and 13. The rollers 7, 8 are adjustably mounted so that the width of the working gap 14 between them can be varied. The belts may be provided with a number of magnetically conductive rods 16, and each roller 7, 8 may be formed with surface grooves housing non- magnetic rods or other filling material. The rollers 7, 8, 12, 13 may be solid as shown, or may be of thick-walled tubular construction.</p> |
