<p>The assembly comprises a cast iron body with seven openings, the two lower connected to a solid fuel boiler. The two side openings are coupled to an oil fired boiler and the two larger openings on top are outlets for each boiler into the system; the remaining outlet is connected to a mixer valve in the body. A cylindrical plug is fitted into the solid fuel system, this having a bypass; a butterfly type gate is in the oil fired system. Both are connected together by a gear train, the cylindrical plug being driven. This arrangement synchronises the operation of the valve.</p> |
