The prop is used to support the shuttering for suspended floor slabs and acts against the beams of the form. The prop has a head which is at least partially rotatable in order to engage the beams. The head has a throat which is open towards the top and disposed in a circle centered on the axis of rotation. The beams on the form have performed projections which are engaged in the throat at the top of the prop. The top section of the prop may be in the form of a cone.
