<p>A bread bin has an elongated casing (1) with a sliding cover (3) which is lifted up from the front, and which slides backwards inside in the manner of a roll desk. The free edges of this cover, which is made of sheet material, e.g. metal, travels in curved guides (4) attached to the end walls, or in the case of a plastics housing the guides may be moulded onto the ends. Travel of the curved cover is limited by end stops (7) on the guides and by a buffer at the front. The bin has sides which are press fitted on the casing.</p> |
