<p>1426059 Preparation of phosphoric acid J M LANCASTER 14 Sept 1973 [18 Sept 1972] 43197/72 Heading C1A A process for the preparation of phosphoric acid which comprises reacting phosphate rock in a fluidized bed in the presence of steam with a SO 2 and O 2 containing gas and/or SO 3 gas at pressure of 3-20 atmos. and temperature of 300-450‹ C. and leaching the resultant phosphate rock containing soluble P 2 O 5 with water or phosphoric acid. Preferably 90-300 mesh phosphate rock is used. The use of SO 2 + air containing water vapour is also preferred and the resultant phosphate rock can be leached in the conventional manner.</p> |
