Frequently used door bolt - positively controlled by handle fitted on lockable side of door

The design is intended for applications where a frequent locking and unlocking of the door is required, such as bathrooms, toilets etc. The present concept allows the locking of the door from the inside by turning upwards the door handle on the side in question. The lock is fitted with bolt (8 and 9). The latter is always protruding from the face of the shield. When the door is shut, the striking plate has a movable part, which yields against the force of spring and allows the door to be shut, then the movable part snaps back. Door handle (2b) is then turned upwards locking bolt (9). The design avoids the separate use of a key to lock the door.
