Venting device for injection pumps or other similar hydraulic installations which must supply a hydraulic medium under pressure and free of air etc. bubbles, includes evacuation chamber for the hydraulic powering fluid medium and a return pipe for excess medium in which a non return valve has been built in, and has a connecting pipe (16) between an elevated position in the evacuation chamber (5) and the return pipe (10). The connecting pipe (16) bridges the non return valve (11) in its passage. The diameter of the connecting pipe (16) is so small in comparison to that of the return pipe (10) that the pressure in the evacuation chamber is not affected.
