Optical storage device for selective projection of matrix of images - has lens matrix with collecting lens to illuminate image matrix

An optical storage device is used for selective projection of a picture consisting of a matrix of images by means of a lens matrix onto a viewing surface having a controllable illumination device for the images to be projected. The device makes use of a collecting lens (4) in front of the image matrix (2) to illuminate the images (2a-e) in the projection direction. The focal point of the lens (4) is situated in a mirror (6) which can be moved in two coordinated directons. The projection light source which is previously focussed on this focal point is provided for illumination.
