Device for anchoring a screw in a hole in tiled walls, concrete or stone comprises a sleeve which can be inserted in the hole. The dia. of the hole is is no >1.1 times the dia. of the screw, the thickness of the sleeve is 3-7, pref. 5% of the dia. of the screw, and the matl. of the sleeve is highly ductile when a load is applied beyond its yield point. The sleeve is pref. made of a metal which can be deep drawn or plastics matl., e.g. steel, brass, a tombac alloy or Delrin.
