The present invention provides a method for the preparation of a catalyst for regenerating filters of particulate matter generated by the diesel combustion, which is formed by a metal salt of the IB group of the Periodic Table of the Elements, deposited in a base metal oxide. The catalytic system of the invention presents a high activity in the oxidation of the particulate matter of diesel, non-burnt hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide emitted during the combustion of diesel and mixtures of diesel-biodiesel in diesel engines. |
