<p>A cheese preparation plant includes a cylindrical vessel and cutting device in the form of a frame arranged to rotate around the vertical axis of the cylindrical vessel. The frame is provided with an oscillating drive and has a number of vertically tensioned wires spaced out radially, as well as, in at least two vertical planes converging from the circumference of the vessel to its axis, groups of axially spaced radially tensioned wires. The angular pitch of the axially spaced wires, their pitch within the groups, the speed of rotation of the frame and the frequency of oscillation are adjusted relatively to each other so that during the simultaneous rotary and oscillating motion the wires follow mutually intersecting or contacting sinus paths. Appts. Cuts up the densified curds for drawing off, into small pieces in a single operation, without changing or adding to the cutting tackle.</p> |
