<p>The chain attached at one end to a connecting point and at its other end to an energy-consuming or energy-producing apparatus capable of moving in the longitudinal direction of the chain or cable. Chain or cable support means are arranged to co-act with parallel links, adjacent ones of the links being joined together in a manner such that the links can pivot through a pre-determined angle. Each link is provided with a support surface, the surfaces being mutually arranged so as to lie in one and the same plane when the support means are oriented in one and the same plane. At pre-determined links there are provided support wheels, the peripheral surfaces of which extend over adjacent support surfaces.</p> |
