<p>The mattress has an opening in it with a channel extending from it out to one side through which a bed chamber can be slid into posn. A section of the mattress which covers the opening can be moved along slide tracks in the direction of the channel. Pref. the slide tracks have elevated sections so that the mattress section which moves along them on rollers, rises and falls as it is slid along. The channel and bed pan are coated in non-absorbent plastic and the bed pan contains odour-destroying chemical agents. The mattress section can be remotely controlled and slid by a drive mechanism.</p> |
