A decorative building block in concrete is of hexagonal form to provide maximum flexibility in wall design for use in gardens and parks etc. The basic design is of a hollow hexagonal form that is manufactured either as a long pipe or else of relatively short length as a building block. A half hexagon section block (i.e. three sides) provides an edging unit for the base and sides of a structure. Either a constant wall thickness may be used, based upon hexagonal outer and inner surfaces, or the internal cross-section may include radii giving the appearance of a circular inner cross-section. Building blocks may be produced with a back surface to provide a closed unit.
