<p>The equipment is particularly for use when filling tanks with inflammable liquid, e.g. petrol, stopping the flow automatically when liquid in the tank has reached a predetermined level. A first mechanism shuts off the filling hose automatically when this occurs, and a second mechanism is provided on the hose to shut it off manually. A third mechanism allows a reduction, when the first and second mechanism are shut, of the pressure between the latter in relation to the pressure in the tank. The first mechanism can consist of a ball valve operated by a float in the tank, and arranged so as to halt the liquid flow in stages.</p> |
