<p>The amphibious vehicle is propelled on land by special tracks which serve to increase the buoyancy on water. The individual track elements are hllow and are linked at their top adjoining edges. Special guidance rails are fitted from the middle of one track element to extend to a neighbouring element and with one set of rails fitted to each side of the tracks, they serve to limit the lateral displacement of the track elements. The underside of the elements is concave and transverse ribs, pointing backwards are fitted to improve the propulsion on water. The track is designed for min. water resistance and max. thrust over water and on mud.</p> |
