The four hundred day clock is driven by a battery (2), with a miniature electric motor (1) used for winding-up the cylinder of the clock movement, the discharge of the battery being controlled by a switching transistor, supplied by the battery. The transistor blocks the current provided by the battery for the electric motor, when the battery voltage falls below a given value. Preferably the clock has a decorative balance mechanism (5), which carries a magnetic element (7) cooperating with a coil (8), for maintaining the balance oscillations, the coil (8) being connected in series with a periodic switch (9) across the battery.
|
