<p>The object is to facilitate entry of the plug into the socket where the latter is not easily accessibly or visible. Instead of the usual guide keys an additional insulation plate is used which fits into the socket. It has holes corresponding to the socket contact entries, but each hole lies at the bottom of a dished area with smooth finish. The plug may thus be offered to the socket at any angle with respect to the fixed contacts and will, by gentle pressure, be automatically guided towards them as the tips of the plug pins ride along the surface of the dished area.</p> |
