Helmet protecting skull of accident victim - applied during transport and kept in position during hospital and X-ray examinations

A helmet similar to a motorbike crash helmet, encompasses, the skull, except for the face, and a rear upper neck section. The helmet has an adjustable chin strap and is lined with an elastic air cushion which can be inflated by valve once the head is in position thus securely fixing the head and preventing additional damage during transport. At least one eyelet or ring is provided through which a bracing element can be passed. Pref. two parallel tracks are provided on the sides and at the rear of the helmet along which X-ray film cassettes can be slid. Flattened zones a are provided on the outside of the helmet adjacent to the cassette zones.
