The machine can work as a pump or motor and has a casing formed of cylindrical sections set at an angle to each other. The pump drive end has a shaft carrying a drum with axial cylinders. The other end has a drum with axial cylinders. Connecting pieces join corresponding cylinders of the two drums and move in and out of the cylinders as the drums rotate. This varies the volume of the cylinders and produces the pumping action. The angle between the drums is between 130 deg. and 135 deg. which gives a machine capable of high speeds and large power outputs. The fluid inlet and discharge are connected to different diameters. The throughput is adjusted by a rotatable guide disc on the back of the drum.
